CRA advises on Cisco’s acquisition of Splunk

Charles River Associates was retained by Cisco, a leading global technology company, to provide economic analyses across worldwide jurisdictions in support of its $28 billion acquisition of Splunk, a cybersecurity and observability leader.

CRA experts, Dr. Elizabeth M. Bailey and Dr. John Hayes, supported Cisco in the United States and CRA expert Dr. Matthew Bennett supported Cisco throughout the European Commission investigation. Cisco received unconditional clearance from the EC. The US Department of Justice Antitrust Division declined to issue a Second Request. On March 18, 2024, Cisco completed its acquisition of Splunk.
