Ioana Dan

Principal

Dr. Ioana Dan is a principal in the Antitrust & Competition Practice of Charles River Associates.

She specializes in the evaluation of the competitive effects of mergers using applied econometric techniques and economic modelling. Since joining CRA in 2011, she has also assisted clients in matters of class certification, price fixing allegations, and antitrust and intellectual property litigation cases. Her work covers a wide variety of industries, including retail, food products, durable consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, airlines, and newsprint and cable services. Prior to joining CRA, Dr. Dan completed her doctoral studies in economics at the University of Toronto. She has also lectured on microeconomic theory and labour economics in the Economics Department at the University of Toronto. She is fluent in English, French, and Romanian (native).
