63rd ABA Section of Antitrust Law Spring Meeting

The ABA Section of Antitrust Law Spring Meeting is the world’s largest gathering of competition and consumer protection professionals. Six CRA consultants and academic affiliates will be presenting during the conference.
Fiona Scott Morton is a panelist on “A Two-Sided Story: Antitrust in Two-Sided Markets.” The panelists will explore the workings of two-sided markets in multiple industries as recent antitrust litigation highlights this issue.
Steven Salop is a panelist on the topic entitled, “Chair’s Showcase: Rethinking Antitrust Economics for the 21st Century.” This session reexamines what the goals of antitrust enforcement should be for the 21st Century – consumer welfare, total welfare, or consumer choice.
Carl Shapiro is a panelist on “Hot Topics,” where they will be discussing recent trends in antitrust.
Anne Layne-Farrar is a panelist on “The Future of Patent Privateering.” The session discusses whether patent privateering is an antitrust problem and what strategies companies are employing to deal with privateers.
