CRA’s Labor & Employment Practice provides expertise and support in a wide range of litigation disputes involving employment processes such as compensation, hiring, promotion, termination, and the role of gender, race, ethnicity and age in employment practices.

What do we look for in candidates?

The Labor & Employment Practice is seeking individuals with coursework and/or research in economics who are results-oriented and seek to make a positive impact; enjoy learning new things; like solving complex problems; see challenges as new opportunities; and appreciate diversity in daily work.

We are looking for full-time (graduating this school year from an undergraduate, one- or two-year master’s, or PhD degree) and intern (penultimate year undergraduate, or master’s with coursework and/or research experience) candidates.

  • Role of junior staff

    Junior staff responsibilities include data collection, analysis, data synthesis and modelling. Those who enjoy the work at CRA and that of the Labor & Employment Practice tend to be intellectually curious, analytical, and enjoy solving complex and challenging problems.

  • Role of PhD staff

    Responsibilities include database building and analysis, managing junior staff working with data and other project tasks, working with internal and external (academic) experts on the preparation of litigation reports, and interacting with clients. Successful senior staff members in the Labor & Employment Practice are detail-oriented, creative problem solvers, rigorous analysts, and effective communicators to non-technical audiences.
